Good Shepherd Lutheran High School is a Lutheran school located in Otsego, Minnesota that offers its students a wide variety of opportunities and experiences. While most high schools focus mainly on academic excellence or college prep, GSL focuses on creative expression and a Christian based community.
Background
In early 2017, the planning began after recognizing the need in our community for a Christian based High School. Conversations within our community lead GSL founders to this amazing story of creating a Christian High School that provides flexible thinking and creative problem solving skills for students. GSL founders wanted their students to be inspired innovators and creators by providing them with challenging learning opportunities through a project-based environment. GSL works alongside families to encourage students to strengthen their faith, character, and academic ability; while building a Christ-Centered community of leaders, honoring Christ in all areas of life.
Growth Inside & Outside the Classroom
Education is more than just academics. For students to fully enhance their knowledge, they need to grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We encourage students to use their God-given talents to help those around them. We do this by engaging in service projects like raking leaves for elderly, picking up trash around our community, learning about the history of our town, and volunteering at local schools.
