Melissa Lamkin, B.S.W, M.F.L.E. Director of School Ministry

Melissa has over fifteen years of experience in education.  She specializes in working with families and the education process.  She has five children of her own and enjoys spending time with family, baking, and playing sports.  She looks forward to getting to know all the families better!

Kelly Lamkin, MS Ed., MA EnglishAcademic Plan Coordinator/ PSEO English Teacher

Kelly serves GSL as the academic programming director and PSEO/college planning advisor. With 24 years of experience in teaching and working with students from middle school through high school, she finds great joy in helping students seek God’s calling through vocation. Kelly also serves the ministry of Zion Lutheran Church/Crown Christian School where she and her husband, Pastor Tim Lamkin, live and serve. She most enjoys time spent with family, especially her nine grandchildren and three very spunky Schnauzers!

Amy Guse, B.A.Math Teacher

A graduate of Concordia, St. Paul, Amy has served in education and youth ministry for close to 20 years.  She finds joy in helping students reach “aha” moments as they transition from something new and challenging to mastering a skill or finding enjoyment in a new experience.  Amy looks forward to all the “aha’s” she will get to experience with the students at Good Shepherd as they grow academically and spiritually.  She also likes math and outdoor education as well as reading, movies, and fishing.  Amy enjoys doing these activities with her husband and three teenage children.

Kara Nemeth, B.S. – Business Essentials

Kara graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Emporia State University (Emporia, KS), with an emphasis in the areas of accounting, economics, management, and administration.  She has a variety of business experience, having spent her time in the corporate world with both large and small businesses mainly in accounting and administrative roles. After taking a break from the corporate world to stay at home with her children, Kara discovered the joy of teaching as a substitute teacher before joining the GSL team.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids, watching her kids’ activities, going on road trips, baking, gardening, and reading. 

Gary Moore, M.Ed. – Athletic Coordinator 

Gary has been in Education for over six years. His expertise is working with students on behavior and de-escalation techniques.  Gary earned his Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota.  He is also a four time letter winner and earned the Pinky McNamara Award. Gary enjoys working on cars, fishing, and being outdoors.  

Heidi Lecy, B.S. – Vocal Music Education, M.M. Piano Performance and PedagogyDirector of Music Ministry

Heidi has been teaching music for over 30 years, both in the classroom setting and as a private studio piano, flute, and voice teacher.  She believes in tailoring lessons to meet each student’s individual needs and building a solid musical foundation which will lead to a lifetime of enjoyment in music. Her greatest passion is church music ministry and has been involved with church music in many different capacities since she was 12 years old.  She currently serves as church pianist and adult choir director for South Santiago Lutheran Church.  She is so excited and thrilled to be able to combine teaching and music ministry in her position here at GSL! In her spare time, Heidi loves spending time with her fiancé, adult children and 2 young grandchildren and taking care of her hobby farm where she has 2 big horses, 2 miniature horses, 2 goats, 2 dogs and 4 cats.

Erin Rudolph, B.A. – English Teacher

Erin graduated with a BA in Language Arts & Literature Secondary Education from Concordia University, St. Paul. She has taught and worked with a wide range of ages and grade levels, but she especially enjoys teaching middle & high school students. The goal of her English classes is to help students make connections between their faith, the things they learn in school, and the world they experience every day. She considers it a blessing and a privilege to help grow and train new generations of Christian disciples. When she isn’t at school, Erin can usually be found reading something, writing something, creating something, or spending time with friends and family.

Pastor Marty Mably, M.A., M. DIV. – Theology Teacher

Marty graduated from Western Illinois University in 1992 with a B.A. degree in Music Business and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994 with a M.A. in Arts Administration (Non-Profit Management). Marty served at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Illinois from 1998 to 2003 as Director of Youth and Family Ministry. In 2003 Marty started his pastoral education at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Marty served his vicarage from 2006-2007 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and School in Springfield, Illinois. In the summer of 2007, Pastor Mably received his M. Div. degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Pastor Mably was ordained and installed as Associate Pastor at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and School on July 8, 2007. In March of 2010 he accepted a call to serve as Pastor at Lord of Glory. Pastor Mably is richly blessed by his wife Anissa and two daughters Enya and Erin. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and reading.
